Recently I had the chance to check out Chosun Ok thanks to my great host NE. I have only been in Atlanta once before and was told that you need a car to get to Buford Highway but that is where all the good Asian food especially Korean and Vietnamese food!
Luckily I was able to have dinner with NE and his family visiting from the Northeast. Many had never had Korean BBQ before. We ordered seafood pancake, bulgoki, kalbi, chapchae, tenjung chigae and we got lots of side dishes with a pitcher of cold tea to cool off. (Atlanta was undergoing a heatwave of 100+ temps).
The grill is charcoal and the decor was very laid back. The service was attentive and excellent. Due to our big party, they thoughtfully cut up our seafood pancake and cut the meat from the bone for our kalbi. As customers, we had minimal need to flip and cook the meat. We got the sauce, raw garlic, lettuce leaves, julienned scallions to fold our bbq meats together.
The food was delicious and I did not smell of BBQ afterwards. Great service, great Korean food with everyone coming out of the meal stuffed. I would definitely love to go there again when in Atlanta.
